React vs Angular for Enterprise Applications

How to choose React or Angular for enterprise software: team shape, longevity, hiring, and the kind of UI you are actually building.

Enterprise front ends fail from unclear ownership and sprawling UX, not from picking the “wrong” famous framework. React and Angular can both run a serious application. They ask different things of your team.

Angular if you want the framework to set conventions

Large organisations with many developers rotating through the same codebase benefit from Angular’s opinions: structure, TypeScript, and a full toolkit. If your UI is a ten-year internal platform, that predictability is a feature. See Angular development.

React if you want a thinner core and a product design system

React shines when design systems, varied product surfaces, and a mixed web stack (often with Next.js) are the point. You must supply the conventions Angular would have given you. Teams that will not write those conventions will invent worse ones. See React development and Next.js development.

Do not convert a working app for the resume

Rewrites to chase hiring fashion are modernization theatre. If the current Angular or React app ships and you can hire, invest in design system, tests, and performance instead.
