AWS vs Azure vs Google Cloud: Which Cloud Should Your Business Choose?

A practical comparison of AWS, Azure and Google Cloud for growing businesses: skills, integrations, and operational fit — not a feature bingo card.

The right cloud is usually the one your team can operate and your customers’ IT departments will accept. Feature lists are close enough at the centre of the market that they should not decide this for you.

Choose AWS when product engineering is the centre

AWS remains the default for many SaaS and custom product teams because of ecosystem depth and hiring familiarity. If you are building a software product, start here unless another constraint wins. See AWS consulting.

Choose Azure when the enterprise is already Microsoft

Identity, desktop estate, and procurement often sit on Microsoft. Fighting that to get a 5% cheaper object store is rarely worth the political cost. Azure is a fit when Entra ID, M365, and enterprise agreements are already the operating system of the company.

Choose Google Cloud for specific data and ML gravity

If your differentiator is data platform work already sitting on GCP, stay. Do not choose GCP because a blog post said BigQuery is nice if your team’s entire muscle memory is AWS.

Multi-cloud as a starting strategy is usually a tax

Two clouds mean two identity models, two bill reviews, and two ways to be wrong. Start with one. Add another when a customer or a workload forces you. Cloud migration should pick a home, not a cocktail.
